Neighbors Abroad partners with two innovative, Palo Alto-founded educational initiatives to share cutting-edge developments in high school curricula with our Sister City network:

BEAM: Inspiring Young Students Around the World Through Math and Entrepreneurship
The BEAM (Business, Entrepreneurship, and Math) program is a partnership between high schools and companies that replicates real-life business environments for students, which requires application of mathematical principles. BEAM is an international social network of business education and business opportunities, as well as a vehicle for worldwide collaboration between students, teachers, cities, and businesses around the world. Founded by a former Neighbors Abroad Board member, BEAM has grown internationally, with students from the United States, Germany, Mexico, Netherlands, and Sweden collaborating through sharing, analyzing, and providing recommendations on their start-ups and projects for companies. Through Neighbors Abroad, the BEAM program has been met with enthusiasm in our German Sister City, Heidelberg. Learn more about BEAM here.
