Junior Achievement of North California! - March 9th, 2020
On Monday March 9th, Financial Intelligence for Teens volunteered for Junior Achievement of Northern California, their partnered organization, in the March outreach event located in Forest Hill Elementary. Not only was it a great teaching experience for the FIT members, FIT was able to spread financial literacy to elementary schoolers!
Joyce, Jasper, Caleb, Alexandria, and Anna taught kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade classes through multiple games and activities on: the importance of making financial choices and the results of them; the roles of jobs and businesses and their contributions to families and
communities; how money flows in the economy and the ideals of taxes. Some activities included board games on financial decisions and a Guess Who game on different community professions.

Winter Social ! - February 22, 2020
On Saturday, February 22nd, Financial Intelligence for Teens hosted its first introduction and social event at the Mitchell Park Community Center. With over 45 attendees from various schools around the Bay Area, including Gunn, Cupertino and Harker, this event was a great success in spreading the FIT mission!
Jasper, Joyce and Erik each introduced the FIT program as well as their respective committees and gave insight as to the future directions of the program. We also invited guest speakers Bob Wenzlau, President of Neighbors Abroad, to share the story about FIT’s parent organization and
Aaron Chow, a Berkeley Econ undergrad, entrepreneur, and soon-to-be hedge fund manager to share his experience in the world of finance during a Q&A session.
