Ukrainian Children's Relief Fund

Picture
Children who were living in an orphanage in Kropyvnytskyi (central Ukraine) were transported to Austria, thanks to the tireless work of Kleine Herzen, supported, in part, by funds donated to Neighbors Abroad.
In the wake of Russia’s shocking invasion of Ukraine, Neighbors Abroad moved quickly into action, partnering on a fund-raising campaign with Kleine Herzen (Little Hearts), which has operations in our German Sister City, Heidelberg. The non-profit already has an excellent track record for helping vulnerable children in Ukraine since 2007.

Your tax-deductible donations are going directly to helping children who were marginalized even before this catastrophic invasion. This blog on the Kleine Herzen website offers an overview of the critical aid that is being provided with donations from our community (select English option). The page also includes a BBC video about the monumental work on behalf of orphans being spearheaded by
Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for Children's Rights, Mykola Kuleba. We are supporting his life-saving work through Kleine Herzen.

Please donate using the web form below for a credit card donation, or beneath the form learn of donation via check or managed funds.

For details about the organization with which we are partnering, please see https://www.kleineherzen.or.at/en/, a European non-profit which adheres to the strict donation rules of the Austrian government.  Note that Neighbors Abroad is a 501(c)(3) under the rules of the Internal Revenue Service of the United States.  Please consult your tax advisor with regard to deductibility of these donations. Neighbors Abroad can accept checks in addition to credit card donations.  For mailed donations please send to 355 Alma Street, Palo Alto, CA 94301 payable to Neighbors Abroad and noting the "Ukrainian Emergency Children’s Relief Fund" on the check. For managed funds, the EIN number of Neighbors Abroad is 94-6103013. Neighbors Abroad deducts a maximum 2 percent to cover administrative fees associated with this campaign.
