As a proud resident of Palo Alto for over 16 years, Bing Wei has been deeply involved in making her community thrive. She helped establish Palo Alto's Sister City relationship with Yanpgu District, Shanghai in 2018. While raising her daughter in this innovative city, Bing's love for nature and outdoor activities led her to serve on the Parks and Rec Commission.
With over two decades of experience as a social impact executive such as Cisco and the Bay Area Council, she has championed corporate social responsibility, diversity, and inclusion within the corporate world. She was selected as a Presidential Leadership Scholars (PLS) in 2016 based on her social impact. Through her consulting company, The Word International Inc., Bing has empowered Asian start-up CEOs, helping them grow their businesses. Beyond her professional endeavors, Bing is a dedicated advocate for the Asian American community, especially first-generation immigrants like herself. Her efforts in this area earned her recognition as an Immigrant Leader of the Month by the Bush Center in June 2021. Bing's commitment to continuous self-growth has made her an alumna of Harvard Business School Executive Education in 2022. As a London Chartered Institute of Marketing Fellow, Bing holds a BA Honors in English and Media from the University of Sussex in the UK, where she serves as an Advisory Board Member. Bing Wei brings a warm and personable approach to her community advocacy as a global citizen and citizen diplomat.
