Edward Fike

Edward Gerard Fike was born and raised in Parma, Ohio. He received his B.A. in English from Cleveland's John Carroll University in 1988 and a J.D. from Santa Clara University in 1990. After passing the California Bar, he joined Hobee’s California Restaurants, the popular Silicon Valley family restaurant chain, as general counsel. He later served as company president from 2005 through 2017, when the business was sold. 

Ed was twice named to the Silicon Valley Business Journal's list of influential business leaders. He also served four terms as president of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the California Restaurant Association. 

In 2019, Ed joined the San Jose-based employment law firm of Hixson & Nagatani LLP. His part-time practice focuses on employer compliance training and litigation support.

Ed is an avid distance runner and has completed 54 marathons. In 2019, he was selected by Neighbors Abroad to represent Palo Alto at the Kasumigaura Marathon in Tsuchiura, Japan. The culturally-enriching experience inspired him to become more active in Neighbors Abroad.

Ed resides in Los Altos Hills with his husband, Bill Jeffrey.
