A Special Message from the Oaxaca Sister City Committee
The Oaxaca trip to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Albergue Infantil Josefino (the orphanage that Neighbors Abroad helps to support in Oaxaca) is coming up:
October 11 to 18 – the Oaxaca Sister City Committee members visit
October 16 – 25th Anniversary of the A.I.J. Orphanage
October 15 to 17 – the official City of Palo Alto delegation visit
There will be opportunities for local touring as well as the orphanage celebration. Please let Marion Mandell know if you would like to join the Committee at any point of the Committee travel dates.
There might be a group from the Los Altos Rotary Club going to Oaxaca at the end of October for the Day of the Dead Celebration and might also bring items for “our” orphanage. This will be confirmed as the plans firm up.
